NACIE Member Dr. Curt Carlson
Speaks about Innovation
Next Tuesday, June 5, at 4 p.m. EDT, please join our conference call with Dr. Curt Carlson, President and CEO of SRI International. His topic will be the role of an intermediary/third-party company in spurring innovation.
SRI International was spun off from Stanford University more than 60 years ago. Its researchers have been instrumental in the development of numerous innovations, including Siri, the voice recognition software now used in the latest Apple iPhone. Dr. Carlson is a founding member of the Innovation Leadership Council for the World Economic Forum and the author, with William Wilmot, of Innovation: The Five Disciplines for Creating What Customers Want, a book that describes how SRI's process for innovation can be applied to all types of commercial and nonprofit enterprises, including government.
Dr. Carlson is a member of the President's National Advisory Council on Innovation and Entrepreneurship (NACIE). This conference call is the latest in a series featuring NACIE members, hosted by the Office of Innovation and Entrepreneurship within the U.S. Commerce Department's Economic Development Administration.
