New Blog for Economic Development Resources

All,

I have recently launched a new blog focused on economic development resources. The blog, called Oklahoma Extension Development Resources, can be accessed at http://okextdevres.blogspot.com, or via the link on our webpage at http://rd.okstate.edu/blog.asp.

The primary purpose of the blog is to catalog on the web grants and resources of relevance to Oklahoma communities. For example, this morning I posted an announcement for a Federal Funding Opportunity from the US Department of Commerce focused on Advanced Manufacturing. I will also post announcements of webinars, training events and conferences that might be useful to you and/or your constituents. (Don’t forget about today’s webinar from the Southern Rural Development Center – “Big News about Small Business”; check the blog for details!) Additionally, I will be featuring posts about different dimensions of economic development, such as highlighting trends in entrepreneurship, examples of community development strategies, etc.

Please help me promote this blog by following it yourself and sharing the URL with your constituents. This way, a much wide audience than my email list can access and utilize these resources. There is the option to add the blog to your RSS reader or to subscribe to the blog via email, if that would be more convenient for you.

Thanks for your partnership with Extension to enhance the quality of life in Oklahoma!
